Merry Christmas & a Happy New Year!

Well, the holiday season has gone away and now its time to get back into the "real life" mode... job searching, mark working, etc... But i just wanted to take a second a post some pictures of our Christmas season....

Our break was filled with many hours of sitting in the car... First, it was christmas at my parents in spokane... I think it was the first time since our wedding that i spent five straight days in spokane, it was really nice. For christmas eve, Mark, my mom and I had the opportunity to sing "Holy Night" at my dads christmas eve service.
Christmas morning was also spent in the car... After waking up at my parents house in spokane, eating cinnamon rolls and packing up, mark and i drove to his parents farm in Potlatch, Idaho where we spent the next two days... However, christmas at the Sawyer's was a little different this year... not all of the kids came home, so it was simple day of watching football, playing games and have a delicious meal... And then it was off to Seattle of friday.

On friday all the Sawyer's (parents, kids, grandkids - 13 in total) met at Julie & Robs house for the Sawyer Christmas Celebration.... Once again, another big meal, board games, football, and this time presents.... the nieces & nephew enjoyed it very much! As we all do, it seriously like we are all 5 again... i love it.... it is sooooo exciting to see what is in all those colored paper boxes!
The Sawyer's 13 stockings... The 13 Sawyer's.....

Well After Christmas came to an end, Monday the 31st, Mark and i hopped back into the car and made a 7 hour drive to Nelson, BC (Canada) to celebrate our 1 year anniversary (Dec. 30). New Years was spent in a pub watching all the underage drinkers from the states get drunk and the rest of the weekend was spent relaxing. Mark and i were able to rent a beautiful old home in downtown Nelson for two nights where were enjoyed sitting next to the fire place, watching movies (Jumanji! This place had all the old great movies!) and simply hanging out... The town was covered in snow, which made for great walks through the down town shops and an afternoon of relaxing in the Ainsworth Hot Springs (they have caves you can walk through and seats inside them so you can soak in the caves! WE LOVED IT!).

Ahhhhhh... the hotsprings... wish i were there.

The house we rented... Room for 6, anyone in the mood for a trip? Lets Go!
But now we are back at home and getting back to the real life after 2 weeks of vacation... Please be praying for me and my job search, as we are praying that this year will bless you most abundently!

Keep your eye out for updates!

Enjoyed your pictures! Glad you had such a fun holiday season.

Hmm....maybe Todd and I and the girls will have to come up there and drive the seven hours with you to that house. Or Me and Todd, you and Mark, Dad and Judy... Or....two houses and we all go? :-)

Todd and I have seriously talked about trying to find a place like that in Colorado or somewhere in the middle between Texas and WA where we could all meet up sometime. Wouldn't that be fun?

Love you! If you get bored, go read my blog from a couple of days ago where I bragged on our big brother.
